Nay, thou'rt incorrect, but I shall forgive thee for thou hath never seen either in person. Donkeys and horses are similar in the face, verily so, but there are key differences! For one, a horse is a noble beast who's only burden to bear is the valiant rider upon his back! For an ass, however, they must trudge along with luggage and other such sorts of things. One would rather be called long-faced than an ass as well, no? But there are positives to each that mark them differently as well! Horses are known for their shy temperament and fragile health, while if thou'rt strong as an ass then thou hath been called stalwart and unflappable! I do hope thee understand now.

They are the one who is responsible for us, from morning 'til we are at last dismissed for the night. While they do not recall who they had been before -- the removal of their head thus ensured that -- they are one of my favorite fellows! Ah, they do not fight like the rest of us however, so they linger in the back as we protect them. Manager Esquire allows me to decorate their notes as I please, and listens to me when I talk of things that I like; I am certain it is to learn more about the world they have lost the memory of, but I am glad to have an audience nonetheless! There are very few others who will encourage it as they do.

That they do. It is a clock, and all one can hear, so I am told, is tick-tocking. Those who are bound to them, which would be myself and the Sinclair in example, have no issue in understanding them.

Perhaps. That is what is common among our lot at the moment, or so it was noted by a companion of mine. Um, they do not often discuss how they feel when we enter such a place, but they do seem a little off-balance at times. It may be that our connection affects them.

Mistress Rodya, a beautiful and kind woman who knows just what to say to ease the tension in a room and seeks to keep the peace in that way, who's strength of character is only second to her strength of arm, and who would turn the City on its head without a single thought to the consequences of it if it meant that those who were trampled underfoot would finally feel the sun against their skin as any other do -- in short, she is a woman after mine own heart, and I adore her so! She also entertains my talk of Fixers, as Young Sinclair, Manager Esquire, and Yi Sang do, [ though her seatmates have little choice, ] and though she does not ask after them whatsoever that is very much enough for me, Angela, as many others find a way to escape the conversation as swiftly as can be!

[ which... is a little sad, isn't it? but don doesn't sound sorrowed at all, because it's just a fact. most cut her off somehow, so actually being able to talk about it whether they're an enthused fan like herself or not wins points in her book. ]

Her weapon is that of an axe, which she has used to split many a foe twain, and she is most wonderful to hug, though I do not like that she often teases about my height and age! I am not a child, thou must understand, nor am I particularly short! I do not hold it against her though, for she is alike to the trees in the park with their strong, sturdy trunks and ever-reaching branches that grace the sunny paths with welcomed shade, easing the heat of summer off one's back and offering a spot of comfort when rain drips from the clouded skies... I think she is rather like an older sister, one who adores the finer things in life where she had none in her youth, who is quite the gambler and a wonderful player to boot, and who, beneath her warm exterior, hides a heart coveted by winter's embrace, which one may seek to shatter through to uncover the treasure that lies within.

I think of the Librarians I have met, she and Sir Roland are rather similar. The two of thee would get along.
